learning interface design with coreldraw
What’s up skinners!
Being a beginner in a world that is completely new to me is hard sometimes not having a manual on how to do all the things one needs to know about designing skins. One of the great skinners should write a book about how to create skins with different programs that people use.
I am trying to find some tutorials on how to design interfaces and buttons with CorelDraw. I have recently obtained a copy of CorelDraw 12 and am attempting to learn how to design windowblinds interfaces with it. I would love to begin designing my first windowblind but I am having trouble creating some of the effects that I have seen on some of the great GUI skins with CorelDraw 12.
(Corel Draw is the program I am more familiar with.)
The only tutorials I have been able to find are lot of CorelDraw tutorials on basic and advanced techniques, but nothing on how to create interfaces and button like I’ve seen on wincustomize.com and other sites on skinning.
Speaking of Wincustomize.com I have to give thanks to (mormegil) for his Corel Draw for Skinners series and the Icon-A-Day series, they were awesome!
What he has done with Corel Draw, I never thought it could do. I have been inspired to relearn CorelDraw and then design and release my first window blind skin.
The only thing I have created and posted on wincustomize.com that I have designed with CorelDraw so fare is a wallpaper for the Terminator 3 windowblind, called T3 two, and my personal Icon for firstliight.
After seening the great GUI designers, like MikeB, Treetog, Mormegil, Apocalypse_67, Tiggz, Pixtudio, and others, I know I have a long and joyous way to go to get as good as these designers.
So, if any one knows of any really good on-line CorelDraw tutorial that shows how to create different interface styles, and different types of buttons styles and there techniques, I would really appreciate the help in leading me to them.
Thanks!
